Farm Manager position available August 1st to start a 400 acre apple orchard in Central Virginia. Responsibilities include managing farm personnel and all aspects of planting and production including purchasing of supplies and trees, fertilizer and pesticide usage, thinning, pruning and picking. MUST be an ambitious, assertive, experienced manager capable of working with employees in a positive manner and can work with university and industry personnel to keep current on changes within the industry. Candidate must also have college degree and at least 3 years experience in orchard establishment and fresh fruit production.
