JOB SUMMANY - Bartender - MetroLagoons is looking for enthusiastic bartenders to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. A good bartender will take pride in providing attentive, friendly, and clean/sanitary service that ensures our guests and residents feel valued and well taken care of, which contributes to guest loyalty. Will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide exceptional customer service and promote positive guest experience.
• Prepare and serve both non-alcohol and alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant Guest.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check IDs to ensure appropriate customers meets legal drinking age.
• Monitor guest consumption of alcohol, following all company and state guidelines.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma or equivalent (required)
• At least 18 years of age (at least 21-year-old preferred)
• Food & Beverage Safety certifications
• Previous bartender experience required – 2 years of experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
• Outstanding communication, customer service and cash handling skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using Focus or similar POS system.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be available to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends. (Flexible schedule hours will vary)
• All candidates will be required to pass a background test.
• Ability to work outside in all-weather elements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
