Responsibilities

Berkley Entertainment is seeking a Business Analyst. This role is based in our Irving, TX office with a hybrid work schedule.

In this position, you will act as a liaison between IT and business teams, providing support related to business analysis, data analysis, quality assurance testing, and help desk functions across various software applications.

You will review, analyze, and evaluate user requests, coordinate and monitor their progress to ensure successful resolution. Additionally, you will document business requirements for small to medium system requests and develop test plans and test cases for all projects.

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers and software development teams to deliver functional requirements and test user interfaces and data sources
  • Monitor, audit, and analyze activity within business data processing systems to ensure proper data input, coding, and data feed exchanges between different source systems
  • Identify, monitor, and resolve production-related system errors
  • Gather requirements through discussions, document analysis, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis for small to medium projects
  • Define and execute comprehensive test plans for all projects
  • Review complex data formats for accuracy and consistency
  • Participate in project teams, understanding project plans, roles, goals, and timelines

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Two to five years of relevant IT experience
  • Knowledge of Commercial Insurance
  • Strong judgment and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and achieve results, demonstrating excellent customer service
  • Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including preparing clear business requirements and test plans
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels
  • Objectivity and openness to others' views, contributing positively to team dynamics
  • Willingness to seek guidance or input from mentors and supervisors
