Description:
The customer is looking for an entry level field technician who has experience with new construction, working with hand tools, running cable and installing devices.
This technician will be working in new construction houses in the St Augustine and Jacksonville area. They will be installing a lot of structure wiring, data pulls, prewire, networking cameras, security systems, and home automation systems start to finish.
The customer is looking for someone to groom into the role, they must have a good attitude, good work ethic and will show up and is willing to work and learn.
There will be a company van provided with a gas card for travel. - MUST have a clear driving record.
Monday - Friday off on weekends
Day to day duties:
They will receive training on and be doing the following:
1. Run cables and wiring for homes under construction - this is referred to as Pre-Wire jobs, happens in large construction sites for residential homes.
2. Installation and programming of Audio Visual Systems, Burglar Alarms, CCTV (IP & Analog), DVRs, and Access Control Systems for residential customers.
3. Installing window breaks, door units, smoke detectors.
4. Troubleshooting signal issues to ensure alarm functions properly if needed.
5. Perform daily hands-on field interaction with customers at the site level and some smaller customer care levels.
6. Test and verify signals for equipment
7. Train customer on use of equipment and answer all questions to include ensuring that they have no additional need (equipment, etc.).
8. Completing necessary customer paperwork for each job.
9. Maintaining accurate truck inventory of devices and products.
10. Provide top quality customer service.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
This person must be comfortable and familiar with new construction. Must be comfortable reading floor plans, climbing ladders, and installing security from a builders perspective.
Must have Great Communication skills. It is very important to be reliable and possess an adaptive personality. This person should have stellar interpersonal skills, along with the ability to think quickly on their feet, read non-verbal cues from the home's resident and have a solution oriented, customer centric attitude. It's important to give the customer confidence that their issue will be resolved.
