Computer Upgrade King, a locally owned, online computer company specializing in building gaming and business desktops and laptops. We are looking to add a full-time Computer System Technician to our dynamic Computer Modification Department.

This critical team prioritizes and performs our computer builds, thoroughly testing the finished systems. We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and work hard. This position will require you to work in a fast pace environment, while multi-tasking and hitting performance standards.

What you’ll do:

• Perform modifications to computer systems by following Standard Operating Procedures
• Modify several computer systems simultaneously by fully utilizing entire work space and prioritizing projects/orders to efficiently utilize time.
• Maintain number of modifications required at tier level; the number of modifications required will vary depending upon the season and level of difficulty and at the discretion of the Operations Manager
• Ensure the correct computer system and upgraded components match the work order prior to performing the modification

What you’ll need:

• Skills to provide basic modifications on: CPU, RAM, hard drive & other optical drive replacements
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment and multi-task
• At least 1-year experience working with PC’s preferred
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent

• Ensures the correct computer system and upgraded components match the work order prior to performing the modification
• Commences modification process by certifying the computer system is fully functional prior to modification process
• Performs modifications to computer systems by following Standard Operating Procedures
• Modifies several computer systems simultaneously by fully utilizing entire workspace and prioritizing projects/orders to efficiently utilize time
• Follows procedure in performing testing on modified computer systems to insure functionality
• Follows procedure when modification fails to determine underlying cause; quickly reports and communicates with Lead Technician for a solution
