MedAdventures is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Gatesville, TX. This position is based within a correctional facility, where you’ll work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities including active, passive, and resistive treatments.
• Document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT.
• Support patient safety and comfort while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Participate in team meetings, care planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and ethical standards.

Work Environment:

• Setting: Correctional facility – security clearance required.
• May encounter exposure to communicable diseases or other occupational hazards.
• Must be alert, attentive, and able to manage challenging or complex situations.
• Some lifting and moderate physical activity are part of the role.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Texas PTA license (or eligibility).
• At least 1 year of recent clinical experience preferred.
• Must pass background check, security clearance, and pre-employment drug screen.

Locations: Huntsville, Gatesville, and Palestine\n10H days shift \nGuaranteed 40 hours per week
