Bernstein Polsky, PLLC is seeking an entry-level enthusiastic legal assistant to act as a salesperson to turn leads into clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in a law firm environment and gain valuable hands-on experience. If you are organized, possess strong analytical and multi-tasking skills, and are eager to learn, we encourage you to apply! This position will serve in the Firm’s property insurance coverage department. The job entails driving to the damaged property, meeting with the homeowner, investigating the damage and signing the client to our Firm’s contingent retainer agreement. Additionally, the employee will perform legal duties in representation of the client’s insurance claim. The successful candidate will be outgoing, articulate and have a positive attitude. Bilingual and fluent in both Spanish and English is a must. No legal experience required.

Responsibilities:

 

• Drive their personal car (reliable transportation required and additional compensation per mileage) to various South Florida neighborhoods and engage with potential customers at their homes.
• Present and discuss the law firm’s services and contingent fee retainer agreement.
• Answer client questions and address any concerns.
• Build rapport and establish trust with potential clients.
• Follow up with potential clients as needed.
• Maintain a calendar and make appointments.
• Assisting with the preparation and organization of legal documents.
• Maintaining and organizing client files.
• Communicating with clients, attorneys and third-parties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assisting with administrative tasks such as answering phones, copying, and filing.
• Learning and utilizing legal software and databases.

 

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in pursuing a career in an office environment.
• Ability to interact with customers on their property, by yourself.
• Reliable vehicle to drive.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Able to use and utilize Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
