Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial reporting.
• Lead and manage day-to-day financial functions, directing both local and remote teams.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making and drive long-term planning.
• Prepare and present financial reports and performance metrics to assess property and portfolio health.
• Manage the financial aspects of property acquisitions, ensuring seamless transitions and integrations.
• Oversee profit and loss statements, aligning financial performance with growth objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, maintaining accurate records.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and financial partners.
• Direct payroll operations and support the onboarding of new financial team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
• 5+ years of senior-level finance or accounting experience, ideally within real estate investment.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and GAAP principles.
• Proficiency with financial and accounting software; experience with Rent Manager is a plus.
• Proven leadership experience in high-growth environments, managing distributed teams.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to transform strategic goals into actionable financial models.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly presenting financial insights.
• Experience in startup or small business settings, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
