Full-Time Resident Care Assistant (Overnights).

The Converse Home, a private non-profit assisted living community in Burlington, is seeking a Full-Time Resident Care Assistant to join our overnight team. This position includes occasional Charge of Shift responsibilities.

About the Role:
As a Resident Care Assistant, you’ll provide essential care and support to our residents overnight, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity at all times. On some shifts, you may take on the Charge role, overseeing the team and ensuring smooth operations throughout the night. The shift schedule is 11 pm-7 am with every other weekend. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call systems.
• Perform safety and well-being checks throughout the shift.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to support residents' care plans.
• In Charge role: oversee overnight team, delegate tasks, and act as the point of contact for any issues or emergencies.

Qualifications:

• LNA certification preferred.
• Previous experience in caregiving, assisted living, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the Charge role.
• Reliable and compassionate with a genuine interest in elder care.
• Must be able to work overnight shifts (includes weekends and holidays on a rotating basis).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
