• Our client seeking a laboratory intern. The prospective candidate should have a degree/pursuing in a biological field. Job responsibilities will include routine cell culture maintenance, cellular assays, analysis of cellular extracts, proper tracking of experiments through lab notebooks, presentation of experimental results and assisting staff scientists with daily laboratory duties. In addition, excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
  Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for timely turnaround of routine cell-based high-throughput screening assays to characterize small-molecule inhibitors.
  • Responsible for routine cell culture and maintenance.
  • Analyze, quality control and upload of data to internal software and electronic notebook.
  • Participate in group meetings to keep up to date on program priorities.
  • Responsible for maintaining needed laboratory supplies for routine assays.
  Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree/pursuing in Cell biology, Molecular biology, Biochemistry or science related field with 1 year experience in a laboratory setting. 
  • Experience in a similar role in industry or academia is preferred.
  • Experience with biological assays. i.e. Cell culture, ELISA, HTRF, Cell proliferation, Western Blot, etc.
  • Knowledge of lab safety and OSHA regulations and safety training.
  • Exceptional organization skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multi-day experiments efficiently.
  • Motivated individual and willingness to take initiative, generate quality data and quick turnaround times.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability and willingness to work closely with other colleagues as a team, openness to new ideas.
  • Experience working with excel, PowerPoint presentation.
