Click here to learn more about our full benefits package JOB SUMMARY The Maintenance Mechanic works under the supervision of the Supervisor to perform general maintenance duties. Assists other trades in completing maintenance and repair tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs scheduled (PM) Maintenance on assigned equipment. Performs unscheduled/ corrective maintenance on the building, equipment and hospital work orders as assigned. Troubleshoots problems accurately and takes initiative to repair, research and resolve problems. Instructs fellow trades persons in application of specialized troubleshooting and repair techniques as directed. Submits purchase requisitions to maintain adequate repair parts and supplies. Performs snow removal tasks. Make security rounds to check spaces and secure building. Makes equipment rounds to check equipment assigned for operation and safety. Stand duties as a Shift Engineer as per shift schedule. Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices. Other duties as assigned. This list is non-exhaustive. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Licensure None Experience Minimum of three years of similar work experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The ability to maintain continuing education requirements and all certifications and licenses as required Demonstrates professionalism and courteous etiquette. Demonstrates flexibility, positive interpersonal relations in fast paced work environment. Ability to calibrate equipment. Ability to work on and operate mechanical equipment. Must be able to communicate with interior/exterior customers. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
