PSE Designs, Inc. is currently seeking an early-career professional who is motivated and self-driven to work in our Mobile, Alabama Office. Depending on the candidate, we may allow this position to be filled in our Sylacauga, Alabama office, with some travel between offices as projects require.

The ideal candidate is someone looking for excellent growth potential and is willing to work to

develop and grow our mechanical engineering services.

  • Mechanical Engineer with 4-8 years of experience, preferably with at least some experience in the consulting engineering field

  • Degree in mechanical engineering
  • Very familiar with HVAC system design and load calculations
  • Experience with piping design systems and pipe routing
  • Experience and proficiency with Carrier HAP, Trace 3D, or similar program
  • Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD 2D
  • Experience and proficiency in Revit are a plus
  • Experience and proficiency with Autodesk Inventor would also be a plus
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • This position will require preparing calculations, designs, reports, and drawings for both industrial and commercial projects

  • This position will require providing technical advice on designs and construction
  • Ideally, this candidate would operate out of the Mobile Office
  • We will consider applicants for this position out of the Sylacauga office, as well
  • Must be physically capable of performing field duties
  • The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is not required, but it will be expected within the first year of employment
  • Professional Engineering License Required
  • The applicant will have the opportunity to work directly with a licensed engineer if they are looking to further their career and obtain a PE license

  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in project management would be a plus
  • Anticipated Salary $60,000 - $90,000 based on qualifications for the position
