Under the direction of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT I perform delegated patient care activities in a manner that is aligned with the age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality care. PCT I is an entry level position whose job functions include but are not limited to providing for a patient's activities of daily living (ADLs); limited screening, collection, and recording of data and information; maintenance of unit supplies and equipment; patient transporting; answering call-lights, telephone, Vocera. Qualifications include High School Diploma/ GED preferred, Nursing student after having completed 1st semester of clinicals preferred, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in the state of Indiana required OR prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization required OR completion of Franciscan PCT In-training program required. Travel is required never or rarely.
