Payroll Specialist needed for a benefits brokerage in Tacoma. Job ID: 25022 Pay Rate: $31.25 per hour Location : Remote, must be in Tacoma, WA foroccasionalin-person events Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM As Payroll Specialist, you'll oversee payroll-related communications and contribute to the end-to-end payroll preparation process for both US and Canadian employees. You'll act as the primary resource for staff inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, deduction issues, and direct deposit concerns. Your role will include compiling essential payroll information and performing accurate payroll computations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring timely and precise compensation for employees Execute semi-monthly payroll cycles for US and Canadian team members Keep payroll data up-to-date and accurate, maintaining adherence to applicable federal, state/provincial, and local laws Respond to employee questions and concerns related to compensation and payroll matters.
