Job Description
The economy is harsh right now
So many people getting laid off. So much uncertainty. So many business that will never open again.
You may have thought you had your life planned out, or at least the next few years. Then WHAM. That changed!
As you and I have both found out, certain industry's and company's are prone to being wiped out during recessions.
One industry that is typically pretty recession proof is plumbing.
But not just any plumbing.
Service plumbing
Specifically residential service plumbing
Business may go under, but people will always need a place to live. Which means that the residential plumbing service industry is still going strong during this time and through most economic contractions
Enter you
Looking for a new career path. Something that you can hold on to and really sink yourself in to.
A safe job, where you know there will always be work. And it's good, clean honest work.
We need some plumbing apprentices. People that we can take that have no or a little experience and show them how to be plumbers
We will show you the ropes. We will train you and hold your hand. We will turn you into a full blown plumber
We start you out at $20/hr. As you learn new skills and increase your productivity and reach the benchmarks that we set for you, you will make more money. Expect to be learning for 2-3 months
After that we hope to get you into a truck, which it is reasonable to expect to be making $40,000 - $60,000 / year 1.
After 1 or 2 years of experience you become a more experienced plumber, you have the opportunity to be making $75,000+
It really depends on how quickly you pick it up.
There will be lots of overtime
There will be spiffs
There will be give aways
There will be blood!
Woah... woah woah...got a head of myself there
So we are looking for a handful of people that we can come in and mentor
The big 5 things we are looking for are:
Show up on time every day
Be reliable and have integrity
Have a positive attitude and don't complain
Take what we teach you seriously
Be personable and likable
So is this sounding like you? You ready for a career change? You ready to learn a skilled trade that will just increase your value as the years go by?
There is a lot of digging and jackhammering involved. We do a lot of drain replacement work. So plan on working with sewage (don't worry we give you PPE to protect yourself)
But the days will be long some times
Some days you may work 12 hours digging all day to get a job done and to get the customers water back on.
That is the nature of our business. It is not a 9-5.
Plan on being available on your day off to come in if we get extra busy and need some help.
Plan on investing $500-$1,000 to buy some tools once we get you on a truck
Plan on being held accountable.
Plan on being sucessfull!
Please submit your resume
Must have a clean drivers license
