Principal Land Surveyor

About the Role

An established civil design and land services group with decades of regional experience is seeking a Principal Land Surveyor to guide and grow its survey department. This is a key leadership opportunity for someone ready to combine technical expertise, team development, and strategic growth.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and inspire a talented team of survey professionals.
• Oversee high-quality data collection, mapping, and reporting.
• Drive department growth through strategy and business development.
• Collaborate with internal engineering staff to deliver successful projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Mentor and support the development of junior team members.

What You Bring

• Leadership background in land surveying with a proven track record of results.
• Expertise in modern surveying tools (GPS, total stations, and related technology).
• Strong knowledge of California land use regulations and codes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• PLS license in California preferred or has LSIT with the intent of getting PLS
• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for growth.
