As a Security Guard - Petrochemical Gate Driver in Knoxville, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting individuals at access points in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical or petrochemical environments.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site personnel.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or shelter-in-place procedures as needed.
• Observe and report any unusual conditions, hazards, or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
