Position Overview
The Senior Drywall Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating costs and project timelines for drywall installation projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of drywall systems, pricing strategies, and the ability to collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for drywall projects based on project specifications and drawings.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to identify cost-effective solutions and potential risks.
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Utilize estimation software tools such as On Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Review and assess subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and completeness.
- Provide support during project bidding and assist in the negotiation process with clients and vendors.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure competitive estimates.
- Prepare and present detailed bids and proposals to clients, highlighting key project features and benefits.
Qualifications
- 10+ years commercial drywall estimating experience
- Proficiency with On Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid required
- Experience with commercial drywall, exterior framing, stucco, etc.
- Experience with multifamily, hospitality, high rises, condos & assisted living facilities preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
