SURGERY SCHEDULER

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule patients accurately and efficiently for all surgical procedures requested by Midwest ENT physicians.
• Responsible for ensuring all demographic information is entered correctly at the time of scheduling and verify and obtain prior authorizations if needed.
• Schedule post-op appointments and provide basic patient education.
• Responsible for providing patients with all necessary information regarding their procedure
• Document scheduled surgeries in the practice management system.
• Maintain effective and accurate daily physician surgery schedules.
• Serve as a contact for Midwest ENT for hospitals, surgery centers, and physicians regarding schedules, procedures, and concerns
• Responsible for being up to date on all insurance requirements and following all requested guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years’ experience in a specialty care setting preferred
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance preferred
