Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION/OBJECTIVE:


PART TIME Hourly/Before, During, After school hours and Saturdays

Da Vinci is a multi-functional educational company that provides services designed to support the academic needs of our clients. The role of our District and Clinic Teacher/Tutor is to provide the best customized instruction for each of our students while meeting their individualized educational needs. Our teachers are hired on an hourly basis and are required to work in our clinic and/or provide remote instruction. Each teacher will be given the opportunity to attend multiple professional development trainings throughout the year. It is required that the teacher attend at least 4 of these training sessions.



  Direct Service/Clinic:

  • Prepare daily lesson plans customized for each student.
  • Bi-weekly communication, unless there is an urgent issue, with the Director of of Academic Services and/or Clinic Manager (regarding student progress and any concerns) 
  • Track and submit student attendance and data collection.
  • Attend at least 4 professional development trainings.
  • Attend administrative staff meetings (as needed).
  • Quarterly Progress Reports.
  • Session Notes.
  • IEP quarterly progress reports for appropriate district students.
  • Attend CSE’s upon request (district students).
  • Participate in staff development meetings.
  • AIMSWeb/Dibels.


Professional Development:

  • May assist with Staff Development and Training (Clinic & District)

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Committed to lifelong learning and personal development.
  • Parent Conferences.
  • Must attend in person trainings and meetings when mandated.
  • Complete work from home accountability template.
  • Proficient in 1 program and trained in Da Vinci endorsed programs.
  • Student Assessment / Evaluations.

SKILLS/CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge and experience with IEP’s .
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail including preparing all educational plans and materials necessary for each lesson.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Flexible, able to work under pressure and changing priorities.
  • Experienced in Google Programs.
  • Must be flexible and available to travel and move about the various schools and in various environments.
  • Able to meet deadlines.


EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED/PREFERRED:

  • Certified Teacher- Required
  • Degree in Education (or other related degrees)- Required
  • 1 Year Teaching Experience- preferred
  • Experience with multi-sensory language, writing and comprehension programs- preferred
