Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that ensure safe operations; maintain compliance with company standards, insurance requirements, and all local, state, and federal regulations, including AIB standards. Oversee a transportation budget exceeding $1M, including management of a $500K capital budget. Direct daily transportation operations to meet budget targets while responding promptly and effectively to planned and unplanned community transportation needs. Lead operational processes and safety programs using a train-the-trainer model; monitor compliance, drive continuous improvement, and measure and report performance results. Contribute to annual budget development and long-term strategic planning, including capital expenditure forecasting, and lead the team to achieve budget goals. Collaborate closely with company vehicle partners to oversee fleet safety and preventive maintenance programs. Partner with Distribution Services, Food Acquisition, and agency partners to support strategic objectives through cost analysis, coordination of activities, performance measurement, reporting, and continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned. Required Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent work experience. 5 years of experience in transportation operations or within a food warehouse/food distribution. CDL License (Class A CDL) Obtaining serv safe required (HAACP experience is desired) Experience with injection molding, assembly automation and high-volume manufacturing.
