Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
Radius Rule: 100 miles

License & Certifications:

• Current NY RN license required
• BLS and ACLS required
• PALS required (or must obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer)
• IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation
• Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and obtain defibrillation certification within 6 months

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required
• Critical care and charge experience preferred
• MEDITECH experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• May start entry-level without previous ED experience

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and patient care
• Strong assessment skills for clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs
• Awareness of safety protocols and proper patient handling
• Ability to work effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership with effective prioritization and delegation abilities
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties as needed
