• Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)\n
• Location: Schenectady, NY 12308 (New York healthcare jobs)\n
• Facility: 70-bed Emergency Department (ED)\n
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am, 30-minute unpaid break)\n
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other weekend required, no on-call\n
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/18/2025 – End: 2/14/2026)\n
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment\n
• Float Requirement: Yes, including ED Observation Unit\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain prior to start\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience required (2 years preferred)\n
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross) required\n
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred\n
• CPI certification preferred\n
• Prior travel nurse experience preferred, but not required\n
• Ability to float to other units within competency\n
• Compliance documentation due 7 days before start date\n

\n\nER Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ED setting\n
• Perform clinical tasks such as drips, infusions, phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, medication administration, and patient transport\n
• Care for diverse patient populations: medical, surgical, pediatric, psychiatric, and trauma cases\n
• Float as needed to the ED Observation Unit and other hospital units\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to stabilize and treat patients with urgent and chronic conditions\n
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Cerner EMR\n
• Follow facility policies, including dress code and infection control standards\n
