This position is responsible for creating compelling mini-documentaries, hype reels, and social content that capture the passion, talent, and journey of professional dance teams and athletes. The ideal candidate combines strong technical ability, creative storytelling instincts, and an eye for cinematic detail that inspires viewers and builds connection.Key ResponsibilitiesStorytelling and Editing:Craft powerful narratives through footage, sound, and pacing to tell the stories of IDLs teams and dancers.Deliver high-quality edits for longform and shortform content that emotionally resonate and visually captivate.Technical Editing:Align audio and video precisely, apply sound design, and perform color grading and text applications using Adobe Premiere.Maintain smooth transitions, consistent pacing, and clean cuts that enhance storytelling impact.Motion Graphics and Animation:Design and integrate keyframes, motion tracking, masking, and text animations using Adobe After Effects.Utilize templates and basic animation techniques to add polish and energy to edits.Collaboration and Communication:Participate in daily meetings and communicate clearly with producers, directors, and creative leads.Proactively identify blockers, manage timelines, and incorporate feedback accurately and efficiently.Organization and File Management:Manage large volumes of footage, transfers, metadata, and uploads with structured organization.Ensure assets are properly labeled, stored, and easily retrievable for future use.Attention to Detail:Monitor for missing frames, clean masks, misaligned clips, or incorrect color grades.Follow templates and creative references with precision.Feedback and Revisions:Accept critique constructively and apply notes accurately.Ask thoughtful questions to ensure alignment with the creative direction.QualificationsHigh proficiency in Adobe Premiere (audio/video syncing, color grading, sound design, text applications).High proficiency in Adobe After Effects (keying, masking, motion tracking, animation).Strong storytelling intuition and understanding of pacing for both shortform and longform formats.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Experience editing sports, performance, or cinematic content preferred.Background or interest in dance is a plus.BenefitsFull-time, fully remote position (MondayFriday, 9 AM5 PM PST, flexible hours available).Competitive rates.Work with a global creative team shaping the future of professional dance.
