Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Video Producer - Creator at Three Sticks Productions in Reno, NV. This role has its hands in all three aspects of video production, pre-production, production, and post production. The ideal candidate understands and can achieve every aspect of making a video—from all the coordinating and organizing involved in preproduction, through the production side — setting up lighting, operating cameras, managing audio, and stepping into grip or other roles when needed. They’ll have the skills to ensure that each phase of production runs smoothly, and can then help guide the creative vision all the way through post-production.

The ideal candidate has an ability to work on multiple projects in tandem, at various sizes and stages of completion, and is comfortable adapting and pivoting to deadlines and specific needs of our clients.

Additional responsibilities include being able to travel for productions out of market, as well as remain flexible in your day to day schedule as productions happen at random hours. Sucks, but it's sadly part of it.

Qualifications

Pre-Production Skills:

Strong ability to collaborate with clients to understand project goals and needs.

Experience developing creative concepts and translating them into actionable plans.

Proficiency in organizing and managing all pre-production elements, including:

• Scriptwriting or storyboarding.
• Budgeting and resource allocation.
• Scheduling and creating production timelines.
• Coordinating locations, permits, and talent.
• Assembling and managing crew and equipment needs.
• Detail-oriented approach to planning and logistics to ensure smooth production.

Production Skills:

• Proficiency in camera operation and framing techniques.
• Expertise in setting up and managing lighting for various scenarios.
• Solid understanding of audio recording techniques and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with grip work, including rigging and setting up equipment.
• Problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during shoots.

Project Management Skills:

• Proven ability to oversee video projects from concept to completion.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple moving parts across all phases of production.
• Experience working closely with editors during post-production to achieve the final polished product.
