About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the development and administration of system-wide programs that ensure a corporate culture of integrity and compliance with all relevant laws and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting ethical business behavior, monitoring for and investigating non-compliance, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. This role involves collaboration with senior leadership, the Board Audit and Compliance Committee, and various compliance staff to oversee the effectiveness of the compliance program, including the establishment of a written code of conduct, training, and a confidential reporting system. The Chief Compliance Officer will also be tasked with addressing primary risks such as billing integrity, privacy, and the prevention of fraud and abuse. Applicants for the Chief Compliance Officer position at the company must have a Master's degree in a relevant discipline and at least 10 years' experience in a large healthcare system or a similar environment. The role requires in-depth knowledge of laws, regulatory requirements, and audit processes specific to the healthcare industry, as well as expertise in business ethics. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide effective leadership on legal compliance and business ethics, manage a corporate compliance program, and interface with external advisors and government officials. Outstanding communication and program management skills are essential. The Chief Compliance Officer will also be expected to maintain a strong relationship with outside compliance counsel and stay abreast of applicable laws and regulations.
