Full-time, permanent on-site position (hybrid model may be considered after a 3-month probationary period)

Occasional travel to project sites

Compensation: $60,000–$65,000 annually, based on skills and experience (commission structure will be discussed following the probationary period).

About NRI Industrial Sales

At NRI Industrial Sales, we help businesses recover value from surplus and idle industrial assets. With operations across North America, we specialize in asset recovery, remarketing, and sales of used industrial equipment. Our team thrives on innovation, problem-solving, and teamwork — and we’re growing. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Analyst to join our Delta, Ohio team.

Position Summary

The Inventory Analyst will support our purchasing/acquisitions team by evaluating potential projects, analysing data, assisting in site-based assessments, and auditing inventory once it arrives. While prior industrial experience is a plus, the key qualities we’re looking for are analytical ability, strong attention to detail, quick learning and comfort working independently. This role is primarily desktop/office-based, with occasional travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

-    Learn and become proficient in NRI’s internal systems, operational methods and sales channels.

-      Analyse large datasets/spreadsheets (internal sales history + external market data) to evaluate purchase lists and predict future resale potential.

-      Assist in estimating purchase value for inventory projects and make data-based recommendations.

-      Travel to project sites (typically 1–2 days) to assist with field assessments and help facilitate purchasing decisions.

-      Audit received inventory by comparing actual receipt vs. purchase documentation and ensuring accuracy and quality.

-      Collaborate closely with the acquisitions and operations teams to support efficient workflow, data integrity and optimal purchasing decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma (in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or a related field is preferred)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and large dataset management).
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for project site visits.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; comfortable interacting with internal teams and occasional site-visits.

Preferred Skills

-      Experience with inventory management, purchasing or industrial parts/equipment.

-      Basic programming or shell-scripting experience (for example Python, VBA, SQL) to help automate tasks or handle large data sets.

-      Previous site-assessment or field travel experience.

-      Familiarity with industrial surplus/asset-recovery markets.

Why Join NRI?

Become part of a growing company that values learning, initiative and data-driven decision making.

Work in a role that is cross-functional, providing variety and exposure to multiple aspects of industrial asset recovery and purchasing. Opportunity to develop analytical and technical skills and grow with the company. At NRI, we offer competitive compensation, comprehensive health benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution.

If you’re a smart, self-motivated individual with strong analytical ability, excellent attention to detail and the desire to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
