Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility or Special Education, Certification as a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS), and 1+ years Orientation and Mobility Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Position Overview:
Blazer Jobs is seeking a skilled and compassionate Orientation & Mobility Specialist (O&M) to support a K12 student caseload in the Andover, MA area. This is a school-based, onsite-only position serving students of varying ages and abilities who require individualized support for safe and independent travel.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct O&M instruction to students with visual impairments across school sites.
Assess students mobility skills and develop individualized instructional plans.
Teach safe navigation skills in school, home, and community environments.
Collaborate with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs), special educators, and families.
Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding O&M goals and progress.
Document services, progress, and evaluations in accordance with district and state standards.
Qualifications (Massachusetts):
Active Orientation & Mobility (O&M) License in the State of Massachusetts (required).
Experience working with K12 students preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Ability to provide onsite services across multiple school locations.
