PathwayConnect – Online Instructor - BYU-Pathway Worldwide Brazil (Remote) Hot Job We encourage all qualified applicants to apply. Position Summary The PathwayConnect Team Instructor is an essential member of the instructional team focused on the academic success of every student. They use subject matter expertise, a deep understanding of the curriculum, and insight into the student population to identify trends that impede academic success, conduct targeted outreach, and provide instruction to students in need. Team instructors do not develop lessons or assessments, nor do they issue grades; grading is handled centrally. Responsibilities Gain and retain an in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and assignments students are completing each week. Develop genuine and meaningful relationships with all students through regular and consistent communication. Respond quickly to student communication and questions about course content and upcoming assignments. Use department‑created training materials, procedures, and systems to prepare and execute appropriate class‑wide, group‑wide, and individual outreach based on student trends and needs. Participate occasionally in training exercises and/or meetings to receive guidance and feedback. Use feedback received from training and evaluation to improve performance. Qualifications Fluency in Portuguese and English (required). Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field with strong academic performance in basic English/Portuguese and Math. Experience in online teaching with at‑risk learners (preferred). Deep understanding of and commitment to BYU‑Pathway Worldwide’s mission and student population. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be considerate, approachable, professional, and respectful in complex or emotionally charged situations. Ability to follow guidelines and timelines for targeted outreach and use specific systems and prescribed channels for communication. Ability to adapt quickly to new processes, procedures, and technology. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to maintain focus and order while managing complex cognitive loads. Strong track record of reliability in following through on commitments and completing tasks timely. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, video conferencing software, and Canvas (preferred). Position Details Part‑time, work‑from‑home, flexible schedule: 10–12 hours per week (may vary week‑to‑week); at least 5 days worked each week. Required attendance at periodic team meetings as established by the department. Technical & Equipment Requirements Reliable computer with speakers. Headphones or earbuds. Quality microphone and webcam. Regular access to high‑speed internet. Additional Documentation Required Copy of original transcript (histórico escolar).
